Tinchule - Singalila Wildlife Tour
Tinchule Forest of Nepal & Singalila National Park in India are part of the continuous zone of Eastern Indo-Nepal region. At an altitudinal range of 7000 ft to 12000, the Singalila National Park is located on the Singalila Ridge and the popular trekking route of Sandakhpu passes through it. The area is also one of the best places for spotting the Red Panda. The other mammals that share the space with Red Panda are Yellow-throated Marten, Himalayan Black Bear, Clouded Leopard, Leopard, Serow, Leopard Cat, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Pika etc
Tinchule-Singalila is a Birding Paradise with more than 300 species of birds listed from here. It has a huge list of exotic birds like- Blood Pheasant, Satyr Tragopan, Kalij Pheasant, Brown and Fulvous Parrotbills, Rufous-vented Tit, and Old-World Babblers like the Fire-tailed Myzornis and the Golden-breasted Fulvetta, Rosefinchs, Bull Finches, Wren Babblers, Laughingthrushes, Nuthatches, Treecreepers, Yuhinas, Minivets, Partridges and many more…It is also one of the best places to see the sunrise and sunsets as Sandakhphu top is the highest peak of West Bengal and offers the best panoramic view of Kangchenjunga which is popularly known as “Sleeping Buddha” or Sleeping Shiva”.
With four out of the five highest peaks in the world visible from this park namely Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu, the destination offers a spectacular landscape view for any traveller.
IT Nature Club will be exploring the region in search of the elusive species of the landscape for an exclusive experience from 1st November 2019 to 6th November 2019.
