Swarga
Resort @ Sakleshpur,Karnataka
About
the Resort:
The
gently flowing Hemavathy River winds its way through the hillocks,
with lush green coffee plantations like a carpet on the seemingly
endless
plains of the Western Ghats Range. Perched atop these gentle slopes is
Swarga, tucked away from anything that resembles modern civilization.
Time stands still here; leaving you breathless and in awe of this
little
pocket of paradise. Colorful flowerbeds merge to form a multi-coloured
quilt around the cottages. The cottages are infused with design touches
hinting to the 4 elements of nature, Chandra, Surya, Prithvi and Jala.
Located just 50 Kms from Hassan district and 234 Kms from Bangalore,
Karnataka, Swarga offers hospitable service and complete privacy for a
memorable stay and the utmost in soothing relaxation.
Accommodation:
Swarga
offers 4 cottages designed around the 4 elements of nature, Chandra,
Surya, Prithvi and Jala. Each cottage has been tastefully designed with
the intention of bringing our guests closer to nature. At Swarga we
believe in doing our bit to preserve the rich biodiversity of the
resort.
Swarga uses Bio Gas for cooking and to provide hot water for the rooms.
Hot water is supplied to the rooms twice a day. We only use natural
mosquito repellents when necessary and discourage the use of all
plastics
at the resort.
Season:
During
the monsoon months of June, July and August the river runs in all its
glory and the forest is beautiful and lush. After the monsoons the
water starts to recede to reveal wide sand banks where you can lay back
and rejuvenate yourself. The weather is cool and pleasant between the
months of September and February and is the best time to visit. This
time of
the year is also ideal for bird watchers. Birds that frequent this area
are river terns, fishing eagles, king fishers and many more.Summers are
from March to June and are generally warm, especially in the afternoons.
Activities:
For the adventure enthusiasts, there are 4 of the most famous trekking
routes of the region around Bisle Ghats. For guests with a historical
bend of mind, we have day trips to Shravanabelagola, Belur and Halebid.
Day trips to Dharmastala and Kukesubramania can be arrange for guest
who
would like a more religious vacation.
Apart
from the above you can feel free to take a walk in the coffee
plantations, go fishing, see our bio-gas plant and in this particular
season also see get an insight into coffee pulping. The sunset at
Swarga is awesome.
