Nestled on the banks
of the Kabini River and sandwiched between two of
southern India's famous National Parks - Nagarhole and Bandipur, Water
Woods is a wildlife resort 75km from Mysore and easily accesible from
Bangalore.Owned and run by a family
who love nature and wildlife, at Water Woods is one of the biggest
property in the region, positioned right on the banks of the Kabini
River and
surrounded by water on 3 sides.
Accommodation :
The
Water
Woods
is
a
very private and exclusive resort.It has six
extraordinary rooms -4 Standard, 1 Suite and a Tree House.All rooms are
air- conditioned and are all well appointed with a Double Bed / 2
Single Beds, wardrobe space, a luxurious attached bathroom and the
provision for an extra bed and also offer
excellent views of the river, our gardens and the surrounding mountains
and forests.
The suite is a larger room with 2 kingsize beds,
a private balcony and a dressing room attached to a highly luxurious
bathroom and ideal for a family of 4-5 people.
The Tree House is located outdoors, a few feet away from the river providing it with a spectacular view.The room is 15 feet above ground level, up in a tree and accessible by stairs. It is appointed with a double bed, a writing table and a luggage rack. The bathroom is on ground level.

considerable
attention
is
devoted to the quality of food in
terms
of hygiene, cleanliness, taste and freshness.The kitchen here is headed
by
an Executive Chef of experience, assisted by a Sous Chef and a Pudding
Chef,
who will provide you varied and imaginative meals.The menu both
vegetarian and non-vegetarian, caters to cuisines such as Indian,
Continental, Chinese, Italian and Mexican and is served in Buffet
style.Special attention is paid to meals for children in terms of menu
and preferential timing. Good quality milk is always available for
children.Subject to weather conditions, breakfast is served by the
river, under canopies.

The

is definitely our wildlife safaris being the
main activity. Water Woods is situated on the periphery of the
Nagarahole national park. This being the only park in India
approachable by land and water, makes it conducive to organize
Nagarahole is one of the best managed national parks in India, making it the pride of the Karnataka forest department. A model of conservation management for the country and stradled by a huge swath of water, the Kabini river - Nagarahole stretches over 642 sq.kms and is home to tiger, panther, gaur, elephants, bear, deer, wild boar, wild dog and many birds. The park has some three thousand elephants, making sightings very common. Here one has the best chance of spotting the tiger in India!
Nagarahole abounds in water holes and small lakes that are seasonally fed by the lashing monsoons. Being the only national park in India, traversible by land and water, Nagarahole is indeed a 'must do' for the sometime or serious wildlife lover and conservationist.
Note : All safaris are subject to the rules and regulations laid down by the 'Karnataka Forest Department and are susceptible to change to fit in with their modes of governance. The management shall therefore not be responsible in the UNLIKELY event of such changes falling into place.
